(Summary description)At around 5:15 pm on July 26, 2018, on his way home from work, an employee from the Environmental Management Department of Suqian COSMOS Chemical, Dingjun Xia, found a drowning person in the river when passing a main canal at Nanhua Road. Without any hesitation, Dingjun Xia jumped into the river to save the drowning person, and after more than 30 minutes of rescue, he pulled the drowning person, Shuai Tong, ashore.

At around 5:15 pm on July 26, 2018, on his way home from work, an employee from the Environmental Management Department of Suqian COSMOS Chemical, Dingjun Xia, found a drowning person in the river when passing a main canal at Nanhua Road. Without any hesitation, Dingjun Xia jumped into the river to save the drowning person, and after more than 30 minutes of rescue, he pulled the drowning person, Shuai Tong, ashore.
The China Foundation for Justice and Courage interviewed Dingjun Xia and reported his act of courage.
According to Shuai Tong, at about 5:00 pm that day, when he was returning home and passing by the main canal at Nanhua Road in Suyu District. He slipped into the water, and Dingjun Xia passed by during that time.
After more than 30 minutes of rescue, Shuai Tong was finally pulled ashore by Dingjun Xia .
The rescued Shuai Tong and his mother presented a banner to Dingjun Xia to express their gratitude.
